T-Zone Skincare's ENTIRE Charcoal & Bamboo Range - TESTED!

I know what you're thinking: FINALLY, A SKINCARE POST! Well, you're absolutely right because with heaps of new makeup comes a need for some real skin TLC, and what better products to try out than T-Zone's brand new charcoal and bamboo skincare range!

I always love to change up my skincare routine from time to time; once the bacteria on your face (that causes blemishes) becomes used to a particular product or set of products, it begins to become immune. And, for me, it's been a little while since I last switched things up a bit, so when I was asked if I'd like to try out these babies as gifted press samples, I was over the moon!

T-Zone Skincare  is a UK based brand specialising in the production of natural (YASS, bonus points!) products designed to fight off those pesky blemishes that we all hate. I mean, who doesn't want a clearer complexion? After releasing their Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Range, which sells out rapidly in Tesco stores nationwide, they underwent construction before introducing us to this totally new charcoal and bamboo set, available at superdrug.

I've been using these products religiously since they launched and, I have to say, I'm incredibly impressed by how well they've treated my skin over that period of time. Each and every one of them shall have a place within my skincare routine from now onwards - they're absolute keepers!

Want to hear about them? Well, let's get into it then!

From top to bottom: Deep Cleansing Face Scrub, Ultra Purifying Face Wash
Ultra Purifying Face Wash (200ml) - £3.25
I've been absolutely loving this face wash lately - I use it on the daily and it really has made an improvement to the general appearance of my complexion.

My main compliment in regards to this wonderful product is the way it lathers on the face! In all honesty, I've never used a cleanser that's capable of becoming this bubbly and lightweight on application to wet skin - it's amazing! Hence why a little goes a long way (this time, I really mean it!) and it will last you ages.

With the addition of activated charcoal and bamboo, it draws out any excess oil/dirt within the pores but doesn't leave your skin feeling dry and stripped of all moisture at all whatsoever - I couldn't ask for a better balance.

Deep Cleansing Face Scrub (150ml) - £2.99
This has been a pleasure to use every 2-3 days, as it's really been a huge help in keeping my skin smooth and baby soft.

Now, I'm a very ardent fan of exfoliation - it stops any kind of build up in the pores and also removes dead skin cells, getting rid of that 'dull' and 'tired' looking skin that none of us really want.

This one in particular has been fantastic for my skin, keeping it looking and feeling clear and healthy. The bamboo particles within the scrub are just the right size (too big and the experience becomes rather abrasive; too small and you don't achieve the results you hoped for), meaning that it gives you the perfect amount of exfoliation without the damage, so I totally recommend it.

Cleansing Wipes (pack of 25) - £2.99
A wipe, for me, was just a quick way of taking my mask off (cue the flute music and Future verses) at the end of a long night, however, these do so much more!

Admittedly, yes, I do use these to remove my makeup from time to time but, in addition to breaking down every last TRACE of foundation, they also lightly cleanse my face and remove any excess dirt from it - I'm so taken my them!

It just shows that you don't always need an incredibly extensive skincare routine to wake up to a fresh, clear face. So, if you either lack the time or the patience for a long and drawn out cleansing session, use one of these wipes, followed by your favourite moisturiser, and you're absolutely good to go!

Self Heating Mask (4 x 8ml) - £4.99Yes, onto one of my favorite products of all - the self heating mask! I use a face mask twice per week in order to give my skin some more concentrated care and, it's safe to say that I'm really enjoying using these.

I've experienced the 'self heating' effect before from one of my cleansers and I think it's such a cool concept and really maximises the effects of the mask, letting the vital ingredients really penetrate the surface of the skin. Upon adding a little water, the consistency of the mask becomes glossy and spreadable, allowing for an even coating to be applied to the face. After a minute or so, the mask is ready to be washed off and, trust me, you really will feel like your pores have been completely emptied by the end of it. It's fantastic!

Nose Pore Strips (box of 12) - £5.99
This is the one product that I was 100% sure I'd adore - I don't know one person who doesn't have visibly larger pores on their nose. It's absolutely normal, but nose pore strips have been my way of making them look a lot less noticeable.

I use these strips quite often on my little button nose and they're genuinely effective, leaving a smooth finish and much smaller, unclogged pores!

Black Peel Off Mask (60ml) - £4.99
And last but not least, obviously you guys are aware of the major controversy regarding black peel off masks, as several people over the last year have taken to Youtube and posted somewhat entertaining videos of themselves in a lot of pain when removing these. Well, I'm just going to clear that up now for you, as I've been using this mask on a weekly basis since I got it and I've not experienced any problems like that at all.

Firstly, I only use this mask on my nose, forehead and chin (my t-zone, if you'll pardon the pun) as they aren't so sensitive, meaning that when it eventually comes to peeling it off, I'm not in any kind of pain at all, whatsoever. Secondly, the difficulty with the other 'black' masks is that the quality of ingredients doesn't even remotely come close to this one - brands have been caught using glue and all sorts of unconventional items in order to get the mask to actually dry. And, that's why it was an absolute NIGHTMARE to remove!

Whereas, here, with T-Zone's version, the dry mask dislodges fairly easily, saving your precious time and effort yet STILL delivering results. Don't believe me?

Mask when wet
Mask dry five minutes later

The same strip of mask removed all at once, with ease
This was so easy to apply and remove but the best part is that it actually works; my chin area (I mostly apply it there) is looking amazingly clear and smooth and that's all down to this wonderful product.

Thank you so much for reading today's post on T-Zone skincare's new range! As you guys can probably tell, I absolutely LOVE the products they've come out with - they're affordable, natural and, most importantly, bloody effective!

I can't go anywhere without them at the moment - I bring my favourite goodies on outings and overnight stays in the cute little drawstring tote bag! I guarantee that you're going to love this range, so don't hesitate to purchase your best picks from Superdrug, either in stores or online.

Have you heard of T-Zone? Which products here are your personal faves?

Let me know in the comments section below, along with anything else you'd like to contribute - I'd love to hear from you! As usual, follow this blog on your way out to make sure you're back here promptly, ready for the next post. It's going to be a banger!

Marina Rosie x

  12. I do change up my routine quite a bit, but bacteria does not get immune against skin care. Believe me, I am a doctor. The only thing bacteria might get immune to is antibiotics and while some severe causes of acne require antibiotic treatment, they should not be applied without a prescription and regular visits to your doctor"

    1. Hi Linda! xx Thanks very much for reading and letting me know! x I, as a teenager, have quite blemish prone skin and have been to a few dermatologists and they've recommend that I change up my routine once in a while because the microbes find it easier to cope with the same cleanser/product once it's been used repeatedly, so that's exactly what I do. But you're right, it's not necessarily immunity, it's just easier for them to live and grow in a substance they're used to, so I've been told xx
