How I BEAT My Muscle Cramps ft. Synergia

Hey guys! Today's post, although late (sorry for the lack of posts, I've been up to my eyeballs in work), is rather important to me, as we're entering into the health and fitness domain, with which I've been making a considerable effort to dedicate myself to a lot more since the month of September.

First of all, before we launch straight into the review, let's get the facts straight: each and every person on this planet cares about their body image and how they feel about themself, regardless of weight, height or body type and the end goal is, of course, to be 100% comfortable and confident in our own skin. Being body confident, in my opinion, is based on the individual and the measures that they've taken to begin the process of self love; you can be content within yourself at any stage and you certainly don't have to be Bella Hadid to feel and know that you're looking fabtastic (no shade though, she's STUNNING). However, for me personally, that journey is not yet complete and my confidence not yet conquered, which has driven me to focus more on maintaining a healthy diet (although a few grilled cheese sarnies manage to sneak their way in sometimes...) and engaging in a more active lifestyle, which I will, for sure, be keeping you lot up to date with. And, despite the fact that it has, in fact, been going incredibly well, I did come across one major obstacle that was practically keeping me up at night: muscular cramps.

Most days, especially after a heavy amount of walking or squatting, I would experience a rather intense amount of pain in my legs, so much so that I was awoken mid-sleep each night in agony. Now, of course, after a certain amount of time, this became increasingly annoying and bothersome, leaving me desperate for a solution: the offer from Synergia to test out their Flex-Tonic gel simply couldn't have come at a more appropriate time - thank you for the gift!

Synergia are a French company that specialises in nutritional and sports based supplements, offering a range of more than 60 food supplements and tailor-made cures, one of which being this particular gel, claiming to soothe the joints, muscles and relieve the body of stiffness.

The actual gel itself is, as you can see, a pastel blue shade (not that that matters but, come on, doesn't it remind you of unicorn vomit... beautiful) and contains only 9 ingredients, 7 of which are essential oils, such as Rosemary, Lavender, Mint, Thyme and Cedar tree oil - let's face it, you can't get much more natural than that. This product is meant to be applied directly onto to the sensitive areas that are at the root of the pain (once in the morning, once straight after your workout and once in the evening) and is formulated to penetrate the skin fairly quickly, allowing for almost instant relief.

My personal experience with the Flex-Tonic gel, so far, has honestly been an utter treat, primarily due to the the fact that, as a result, I no longer have to worry about being stuck in bed howling at 2.30am (that is NO JOKE - sorry mum) because, quite frankly, I've found something that actually works. The cooling sensation when I use this on my calves is amazing too, especially after any kind of exercise and, due to the loose consistency, a little goes a long way; 120ml for 23,00€ is a decent price in my opinion. The other thing I love about this product from Synergia is that it also caters for the elderly, alleviating harsh pains in relation to the likes of Arthritis, which my own grandmother suffers from - you bet your ASS I'll be purchasing another tube for her when she comes over to visit.

I received this from Hivency, a platform connecting influencers with brands.
In conclusion, I would highly recommend the Flex-Tonic gel to those of you reading that enjoy a bit of fitness but loathe the cramps that come with it (my girl over at Baking Boutique knows EXACTLY what I'm talking about) or are experiencing any age-related joint pain because, trust, Synergia has got you covered and will help lessen the discomfort. And, by the way, I may have neglected to mention a little something-something earlier - how about entering code 'rinarose' at checkout for a 10% discount, free shipping and a surprise gift each time you spend 60€ or more? I mean, I would if I were you...

Thank you so much for reading today's content  and I hope it does end up helping anyone currently struggling with similar issues to myself - an influx of the type of cramps I'm referring to can really be a b*tch to deal with.

Do you suffer from joint/muscle pain or stiffness? Would you consider trying the Flex-Tonic gel?

Please do let me know in the comment section below (that is, after you've followed my blog to be updated everytime I post some fresh new content, of course) along with any other feedback, queries or opinions you wish to hit me with - I'm all ears!

Until next time,

    1. I totally feel you darl - sometimes it is seriously painful. I recommend ordering the Flex-Tonic gel so that you can give it a little whirl yourself and see if it makes a difference! Well done for committing yourself to treadmill work, by the way - I'm way too lazy for that, haha! x

  3. ‘Doesn’t it look like unicorn vomit’ hahah the way this made me laugh though I enjoyed reading this product review as I get a lot of muscle pains after a hardcore gym class and usually just wait for it to pass. But I should consider looking more into this gel. Ruth.

    1. Haha, glad you appreciated that one, my lovely - it does though, to be honest! Well, at least what I'd imagine unicorn vomit would look like... So glad you can relate to the pain though Ruth - I'd definitely say this is ideal for you if you want to soothe those pains a lot quicker and more effectively! x

  4. I don't really do any vigorous exercise per say but this does sound useful though. Does it work for relieving back ache? Mine's terrible at the moment.

    1. Hi there! Hehe, trust me, my exercise isn't all that vigorous so we're probably at about the same level, haha! With regards to the back ache query, there is a joint called the SI joint, which is a common cause of lower back pain (according to Google, bear with, haha) and, since this product does use "for joint pain" as one of the selling points, I can only suggest giving it a go! If it's upper back pain, I don't think it'll work so you may need to consult your GP on better options for soothing that sort of pain. I hope this helped! x

    1. Thank you very much gorgeous, I really appreciate it! Hehe, your mum sounds a lot more motivated than me to be honest - I, like yourself, occasionally suffer from a disease called "can't-get-off-my-backside-itis" that, unfortunately, prevents me from sticking to my routine. What a shame! x
