Munch Happy with Ape Snacks

Hey guys! I hope you're all having an excellent week so far and, to be honest, I'm also hoping that none of you are hungry because, today, we're exploring some edible delights sent through by the lovely Ape Snacks who, of late, have been killing the game and producing healthy yet tasty snacks - I get the feeling they were practically made for me.

So, recently, as a part of my health kick, I've been searching for some healthier snacks than the ones I am unfortunately used to consuming currently (being a ready salted crisps and Galaxy cookie crumble addict is becoming rather embarrassing...) however, there remains one thing I'm not prepared to sacrifice when it comes to food: flavour.

Personally, I've always felt that every calorie one consumes should be a calorie enjoyed - there's ZERO point in overeating for the sake of it and, equally, there's also not much point in wasting those daily calories eating gimmicky diet food (I won't call out any particular products but when I say "flavourless cardboard", you guys know what I'm referring to). Therefore, in pursuit of something that fits all the criteria, I stumbled across Ape Snacks and fell in love with their ethos and the look of their coconut based munchies.

I was kindly sent over all 3 flavours of their Coconut Puffs* (£0.79 per bag) and all 4 flavours of their Crunchy Coconut Bites* (£1.49 per pack) which has allowed me to get a full vision of the snacks from a sweet AND savoury perspective, without gaining 4st in the process (always a bonus), so, without further ado, let's launch straight into the quick reviews!

The Puffs:
Going down the savoury root first, I shall now present to you the perfect replacement for crisps - these puffs! Coming in three flavours (lightly salted, thai chilli and the brand new cheese flavour), these puffs are 25g of low calorie and vegan BLISS. My favourite flavour, as pictured above, is definitely lightly salted, as I can taste more of the coconut in there, but all three are an absolute triumph for anybody looking to spice up their snacking life, minus the guilt.

These eat really well, boasting an airy, puffed texture at the same time as an indulgent taste that leaves you craving-free and, best part, you don't get one of those food babies - feel free to bust out your favourite dress because, I can assure you, you're not going to bloat. The amount of flavouring corresponds to my taste buds perfectly, as the actual puffs themselves are not overpowered, and nothing about them tastes artificial - I fully recommend picking some up to try as I guarantee you'll be just as stunned as I am at how good these taste.

The Bites:
Now, this one's for all my queens with a sweet tooth because I've been LOVING these bites, especially the chocolate ones, as they're fabulous for a quick sugar fix throughout the day or as an evening snack to stop me from getting carried away whilst watching TV (when your mind's distracted, you can genuinely consume a horse without even realising). Like the puffs, these contain a very small list of ingredients (here, 5 or less) and are all slightly sweet yet slightly salty at the same time (this applies to the natural, sesame see and chia seed variations), bar the chocolate which, as I mentioned before, is my sweet escape!

The texture of these is, as described, very crunchy and the taste is nutty and moreish; thank GOD the packet isn't any larger than 30g or I wouldn't stop! This, my friends, is the perfect example of 150 calories put to good use because you'll enjoy each and every one of these bite-sized babies - I 100% recommend them!

In conclusion, I have to say, I'm really impressed with what I've seen, tried and tasted from Ape Snacks and can vouch for the fact that natural has never tasted so good - you can munch happy, yet healthy, with any one of their products. All I know is, I'm going to continue to nibble on their snacks and may even move onto trying their Crispy Coconut Curls as they sound TO DIE FOR. If you're feeling any of these, you can order directly from the website (click here) or purchase from any one of their stockists, including the popular Sainsbury's, Boots and Co-op - you won't regret it!

Are you an avid snacker looking for something healthier to curb those cravings? Do you like the sound of Ape Snacks?

Let me know in the comment section below, along with any other queries, opinions or feedback you'd like to contribute - hearing from you guys would make my week special! It would also be lovely if you could give my blog a follow on your way out because, I mean, who wants to miss content like this?

Until next time,
Marina Rosie x
