If you want to travel to Birmingham, then you’ll be glad to know that it’s a lively city packed with culture. After all, the city in general is full of things to do and you would be surprised at how affordable your trip can be overall.

Birmingham Museum
The Birmingham Museum is home to the biggest selection of pre-Raphaelite paintings. This art gallery is not to be missed and sometimes they even have exhibitions that showcase paintings by Leonardo da Vinci. If you’re a fan of heavy metal then you’ll be glad to know that they occasionally have collections of artwork that celebrates the British heavy metal icons, Black Sabbath. If you want to travel to Birmingham, then you'll be glad to know that it's a lively city packed with culture. After all, the city in general is full of things to do and you would be surprised at how affordable your trip can be.
Brindleyplace
Some people believe that Birmingham is home to more canals than Venice. The area in general has been redeveloped and there are tons of restaurants and bars for you to visit as well. When you do, you will soon find that it’s easy to have a great time without having to spend too much money.
Symphony Hall
This venue opened up in 1991 and ever since then, it has developed an incredibly rich programme full of gigs and concerts. It has been voted as being 7th in terms of the best concert halls for acoustics too, which is music to any fan’s ears. Of course, if you have some spare time on your hands, then it’s very easy for you to book tickets to this venue.
Jewellery Quarter
There are 200 listed buildings in the Jewellery Quarter. If you are not in the market for silver or even gold, then you have nothing to worry about because the architecture alone is stunning and you’ll easily enjoy just walking through the city streets.
Hippodrome
This is the most popular single-auditorium in the UK.
It’s just celebrated its 120th anniversary and there are always great shows being held there. You can see performances by the Birmingham Royal Ballet, and you can also see other truly show-stopping events as well. If you are planning on seeing a show then you should try and book a hotel near Birmingham. When you do, you can then stay over without having to worry about a thing. You’ll also need to make sure that you book your tickets in-advance, as they sell out fast.
Cadbury World
There are plenty of opportunities for you to try and sample the various products that Cadbury have to offer when you visit this location. It’s located in the Bournville Village and it’s very child-focused. That being said, who doesn’t like chocolate?
Botanical Gardens
A trip to the Botanical Gardens has a huge range of plant life and this makes a fantastic day out for the whole family. The glasshouses are full of strange flora and the lawns and even shrubbery provide the perfect setting if you want to take a stroll in summer. Of course, if you have never been to this location before then you should know that it’s great for those who just want a relaxing way to finish off their trip to this big city.
