Why You Should Consider a Weekend Break to Ribble Valley

As far as most holidaymakers are concerned, Ribble Valley doesn’t exist. That’s because it’s not one of those prime destinations to visit for a weekend break and it’s not exactly an area well-known for its outstanding tourist attractions. However, what it does offer is a tranquil and peaceful backdrop to what could be an outstanding weekend adventure to help you unwind, relax and ultimately get away from the city for a while.

Situated in Lancashire, Ribble Valley is a shire district that few people know about, making it possibly one of Lancashire’s best-kept secrets. As of now, Ribble Valley is used by many as a relaxing destination to unwind, surround yourself with nature and breathe in some fresh air for a change. But there are many places to visit, food to try and things to see. In this article, we’ll be opening up Ribble Valley to you and showing you why you should consider a weekend here.

It’s the perfect peaceful break away from the city
Thanks to all of the greenery and beautiful natural wonders that surround Ribble Valley, it’s one of the best ways to relax in peace away from everything that you might have experienced in the city. Thanks to the many accommodation options, delicious foods to try and a surprising number of touristy things to do, you’ll never get bored of Ribble Valley especially if you visit occasionally on the weekends just to relax your mind and de-stress.

Relaxing places to stay
Whether you choose a local hotel to stay or the leading holiday park in the Ribble Valley, there are a surprising number of accommodation options to pick from. We still suggest doing a bit of research and making a reservation before you arrive just to make sure you’ve secured a room. One of the great things about staying in Ribble Valley is that entertainment or food is never too far away since everything is relatively close together. This means there’s no need to pick somewhere central to stay–everything is accessible.

There’s no stress to see all of the sights
Unlike a regular overseas holiday, Ribble Valley allows you to relax and take your weekend break slowly. Nobody likes a holiday where you’re expected to run around and explore something every couple of hours, so it’s a nice change of pace to just sit back, enjoy nature and embrace everything that comes along with it. This makes it a wonderful weekend break idea where you can truly just unwind and de-stress.

Laid-back entertainment
Another great advantage of a weekend break to Ribble Valley is the laid-back entertainment on offer. There are lots of unique shows to watch, cinemas that offer a very classic experience and bike routes that can be taken at a leisurely pace. A great example of this is the Dark Sky Discovery Sites that are close to the Ribble Valley. If you’ve got even the slightest interest in Astronomy or just want to view the beautiful night sky, this is a fantastic option for you.
